National Safe Motherhood Day is an initiative launched by White Ribbon Alliance India (WRAI), which is celebrated every year on 11 April with the aim of taking proper care of the health of pregnant women and spreading awareness about safe delivery. 


This test is necessary before delivery of pregnant women


Under National Safe Maternity Day, it has been decided that a special day will be organized on 9th of every month to make pregnant women aware at Community Health Centers, Primary Health Centers, Urban PHCs, PHC, and Health and Wellness Centers.

 

During this period, pregnant women are screened before delivery and the women with high risk pregnancy (HRP) are treated and treated so that safe delivery can be done.

 


Keep these things in mind for safe motherhood in pregnancy


Get pregnancy tests done from time to time

Most pregnant women die due to some reason or the other during pregnancy or after childbirth, the main reason for which is anemia. Most of these are women who do not go to the hospital for regular checkups during pregnancy. Therefore, they do not realize what health problems they are facing. During this time, many pregnant women suffer from anemia, blood pressure problems, wrong eating habits or not taking proper diet, kidney, liver, sugar, thyroid etc. Therefore, get a pregnancy test done from time to time.

 

Take special care of diet during pregnancy

Safe motherhood is a sign of development. Special care of the diet during pregnancy is important for the better health of both mother and child. In the meantime, take a diet as per the doctor's advice. Include seasonal fruits in the diet to meet the lack of blood in the body. Stay away from tea and coffee, if you have tea etc. then consume it in small amounts.

 

 

Do Ustrasana in pregnancy

Women should practice Uttarasana during pregnancy. Practicing this strengthens the spine. This makes the stomach and waist flexible. By doing this, blood flows from the body towards your head, which increases energy levels. With this, you will feel completely fit during pregnancy. Be sure to consult your doctor before doing this.

 

Anulom-antonym is beneficial in pregnancy

In this, just take your breath in and release it outside. For this, sit by laying a mat in a secluded place. Breathe in slowly and exhale. Doing pranayama in pregnancy is also beneficial.
